MP1 works in progress

Here are two pictures of works in progress that I have pictures of to show you.
This is the platter for my sugar and creamer for the teapot set that I am making.  It is currently bone dry.  I hand built this piece using slabs and a paper cutout to make the curves the same height.  I found trouble while smoothing out the curved part while keeping them with all the same curvature.

This will be a domed lid for a teapot I'm making.  It's white stoneware like the picture before but this is a wheel thrown piece.  The hardest part of this was making the rim the correct width while keeping the curve of the lid smooth.

My name is Kaelin Wolf, i'm a Junior a CV high school.  I am in AP portfolio 3D.  I play water polo and swim competitively.  My favorite media to work with is clay (white stoneware), I've worked with clay all through high school.  I like the versatility of the way the media can be used to create as well as its ability to be formed, reformed, and polished through much of the building/throwing process.  I love making teapots and vases because of the many different designs and focuses each piece can have.  My favorite core subject is science and I would really like to go into medicine as a neurologist or a psychiatrist.  My main goal artistically this year would be to improve the craftsmanship of my hand built pieces.
